Michigan Tech Recreation
Private
Michigan Tech Recreation runs the university's youth sports camps, clinics and tournaments, including a youth soccer camp for grades pre-K through 8 (ages 4-14) alongside basketball, swimming and hockey programs. Camps are held at the Student Development Complex on the Houghton campus, and live-in participants stay in Wadsworth Hall a short walk away. The department also runs HuskiesFit programs and open recreation for students and the surrounding community. Camp dates, daily hours and pricing vary by sport and are posted per camp.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Michigan Tech Recreation directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleThere is an indoor basketball court. The fitness center has treadmills, rowing machines, weight machines.
Whoever replaces cables in the gym never cuts them at the right length making some things hard to use. They haven't vacuuming or cleaning under equipment in a long time.
Its got everything. A pool, ice arena, multipurpose room for all kinds of sports, gym, fitness centre and fitness classes available too.
The swimming pool is amazing. The water temperature is just right, wether in the summer ot in the winter. The pool is friendly and helpful.ake sure you take a shower before going into the pool.
Overall great facilities. The fitness center has almost anything you could need in a gym. I do cardio mainly and they have a lot of good machines for that. Pool area is getting super nice as the renovations progress (haven't been there since COVID-19 started, but I'm excited to see the progress made.) For all the things you get, it's a pretty cheap price to be a member. 10/10 recommend getting a membership here over other facilities
