This dance studio is truly exceptional. The owner goes above and beyond to develop dancers not only in their technique and artistry but also as kind, grounded human beings. The dancers are exposed to top-notch professionals, and the caliber of instruction is truly next-level. My daughter has grown tremendously in this environment—both as a dancer and as a person. It’s a competitive atmosphere, but one that feels supportive and encouraging, pushing every dancer to continually grow and improve their craft. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of this community.

The studio program is great overall, but one thing that seems to be missing is the team bonding aspect. My daughter has mentioned that sometimes she feels uncomfortable because the classes can feel a bit cliquey many of the girls stick to their own groups and the quieter girls that are alone feel excluded. This creates an environment that feels less welcoming than it could be. Which is one of the most important things of a dance studio. One idea might be for the teachers to incorporate more bonding activities, like games, icebreakers, or small group dances, to encourage everyone to interact and get to know each other. These small changes could make a big difference. It would be nice to see all the girls create a team/friendships. Another thing is sometimes some of the girls take up class time by messing around and talking in their little group when the teacher is teaching it’s a distraction for everyone when they’re only there for an hour to learn. Discipline is important.

The teachers bullied some of the students, this studio has an very toxic environment instead of a safe place to dance. I would not recommend this studio to anyone looking for a supportive or professional experience. There is also a lot of favoritism, which makes the studio feel unfair and discouraging. This is not a healthy or supportive place to grow as a dancer, and I would not recommend spending your money here.

To all the hard-working dance moms out there who think it’s all the same at every dance studio, and that you should just stay where you are, that it won’t be any different - it’s not true. It’s not the same everywhere, I thought it was too, but I was wrong. You and your kid put in a lot of time, effort and love into this passion, and you deserve better. You deserve professionalism and to be met with the same passion, dedication and love of dance. That’s why you deserve to experience Miami Dance Collective and their instructors. They bring the same energy, dedication and respect that they expect of their students, to their classes every day. It’s an unparalleled artistry, you have to experience. The transparency, organization and professionalism you’re looking for is here, I promise you.

As my daughter just graduated from Miami Dance Collective & danced with Ms. Marie & Ms. Kristin for the last 9 years I can say that this studio is not only a dance studio but has been a home & a family. Beyond the professional faculty and devoted staff, Marie & Kristin (founders) are making sure the dancers have access to national educators & choreographers. Driving from Miami Beach was worth it!
