The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Detroit Summer Camp (MDSC) is an overnight camp in Rose City, in the Huron National Forest about three hours north of Detroit, running since 1952. Its six-week summer season includes three programs: sessions for youth entering grades 3-11, a program for older teens, and a young-adult program for ages 19-35. The season opens with 'Week Zero' for students entering their senior year of high school or first year of college. More than 350 campers and 125 staff take part across the summer, in a program built around Orthodox faith, friendship and outdoor recreation.
