Powered by GoogleI did not feel this camp was worth the cost. We signed up early and had every discount possible (paid in full etc.), our daily rate was around 77$ per day. Field trips are just trips to the park. My son played a lot of board games and cards. Also worth noting the provided field trip shirt was 2 sizes too small (many kids did not have the correct size), appropriate sizes were never provided. Overall I was unimpressed and we will not be returning.
If you’re looking for a place to send your child where they will be loved, challenged, have fun, be nurtured and grow, Metro Summer Program is the program for you! This is year three and my oldest was able to return as a leader in training. Such a great experience for her.
Attentive staff, fun atmosphere, and all the kids were sweet to my son. I thought the price for tuition was very fair. Coach Jade and the rest of the staff are incredible. I would definitely use Metro Summer Program again!
First and foremost, across 2 of their facilities, after discussing with other parents, children were released to family members without them asking for any identification to confirm they were on the authorized pick up list, which they stated they always ask for in their policy until the family member is a known regular for pick up. Overall, my child initially enjoyed camp and had no complaints regarding the coaches. However, the admin staff is rude and when they send out reminders and messages in the app, there's always some kind of underlying rude/snarky comment made. For example, they'll send a reminder for you to tell your child that they can't buy certain snacks and will follow up with "its not that hard, Coach so and so has a son who's x years old and he knows better". They also do the same field trip nearly every week, which is go to the park, times when things other than the park was scheduled, they had to last minute cancel it and reroute them to the park. One day my child came home and said that they had to each lunch on the floor in the hallway and the big kids sat at the table. I found this to be unacceptable for the amount of money being paid for this program. My card was charged before camp even started and when I asked for clarity on the payment schedule I received no response, however, if they're unable to charge your card they will send you text messages and call back to back morning and evening saying your child cannot return, even though tuition is paid ahead already. Most of the coaches are great, however, Matt is rather rude and not the best to deal with. I wouldn't recommend this program to others based on my experiences with the head staffing and for what's offered. It is advertised to be much more than actually happens, however, this may vary from location to location.
The best place for my kids to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! I have 4 kids ranging from 5-16 yo and they all have excelled this past 2 years because of the coaches and the organization itself. Metro has always looked after my kids best interest and has helped their individual needs, they are very attentive and always include the parents in their student’s progress. I recommend all their classes from Adults, Youth and competition team and little lions. They have a great summer program as well.
