Great place to play open gym volleyball every Monday night from 6 pm to 7:45. Keep in mind it is free, the gym is full size and adults to club volleyball players play. People are friendly.

This is a response to M Super p There's a lot wrong with your review so to contradict it I will attempt to write one longer than yours. First thing, very unfortunate that there aren't free weights anymore. Small guys like you and I can't get strong because of the lack of barbells. So I understand where you're coming from on that one. The "closed for maintenance nonsense" is not nonsense but rather makes sense. When there's plumbing issues in a facility you'd hope they were getting it fixed rather than open to the public. I personally wouldn't want to take a crap and not have it flush but maybe that's just me. I do understand where you're coming from on them not publicly telling everyone what the maintenance issue is but for some reason you're the only one on Google Reviews with this specific issue at this specific Community Center. While the Center was closed I'm sure there was lots of hard work being put on to prepare for the winter program they put on for the kids in the community. Rather than what you suggested which was milking time to have off. The staff there seem to love their jobs and wouldn't abuse the "time off" after all why would you work somewhere you don't like? It's also clear to me that they close to the public a few days before holiday breaks so they can prepare for the program they put on during that break time. The voicemail and online site not saying closed for maintenance is unfortunate and I get where you're coming from. Man it would suck for me if I drove 30min to Mesa Verde just to find out they're closed. Although you didn't see vehicles in the lot at the time of closure for maintenance I definitely did. I walk my fish every morning in this park and I definitely saw multiple vehicles and staff in and out cleaning the park as well as workers in the back of the Community Center working on pipes in the ground. Instead of doing plumbing as a trade you should have spent that time learning English and how to properly write a review because, oh my grammar you need some help. Hope to maybe cross paths one day with you on the lovely Mesa Verde park grass so we can discuss this further and walk our fishes together. Happy holidays from your favorite :)

Friendly, helpful staff at front desk. The Community Center hosts a variety of public events, including a Back to School festival to give out free school supplies in 2024. The La Mesa Community Improvement Association held its 2024 Annual Meeting at the community center. The center has a gymnasium with a basketball court. The center offers programs for kids, youth, and adults.

Was at the park nearby with my doggo. I thoroughly enjoy walking around the property in the early morning. There are very few people there if any at all. And the only people that have been there have been sleeping homeless folks. If you have a sweet dog who is easily retrieved, you can let your dog run a little bit. It's a huge area. There's a tennis court outside. I may try to stop by and see if they have a small gym with treadmills and free weights.
