I had a really very great experience the people working here really very nice and taking a very good class and people from all our Schenectady Scotia, Albany and capital district area they coming here to get the lesson. This is very popular dancing school and it is located in the Albany St., Schenectady close to downtown and highway and exactly opposite from the school. Also, a lot of students coming from all over the city. I highly recommended this to everybody must come and try. This is a very unique and a very wonderful people working here. Highly recommended this place to everybody must come and try really he will get everything to learn.

I can’t say enough great things about Merritt Dance Center! Mara is an incredible teacher—supportive, passionate, and dedicated to helping students grow and improve. She makes everyone feel confident and comfortable in class. Donna is also amazing! She brings such positive energy that creates a truly welcoming and inspiring atmosphere. Chabot is a wonderful ballet teacher whose knowledge and grace shine through in every lesson. She has a gift for teaching proper technique while also inspiring a real love for ballet, helping students build both strength and artistry. Abigail is another fantastic teacher who brings creativity and drive to every class. Beyond dance, Mara teaches important life lessons—like discipline, confidence, and teamwork—that carry far outside the studio. I’ve learned so much here and always leave class motivated. It looks like one child had a bad incident and they got the entire family or friends to write a horrible review. Pretty obvious actually. My daughter has been going to Merritts for over 6 years and we have had an awesome experience! Mrs. Merritt has been amazing to these kids. She has been doing this for many years and is very well respected in the industry. My daughter loves her and has never said anything negative whatsoever about how she is treated there. And believe me I would know right was mistreated in any way. My daughter would absolutely not deal with it. This is definitely the best place to go around here.

Beware of Ms Merritt! If you google a great dance studio it simply says warm, comforting and inviting. This place is anything but that. Absolutely in disgust with the way I heard the owner treated my daughter while my wife had to listen in behind a door and (the teacher Ms Merritt) not knowing she was there, all for a kinder class she had this evening. If you think taunting and picking on a three year old is acceptable then this is your place. I would highly recommend NO one gives this lady another cent.
