MedCamps of Louisiana is a nonprofit based in West Monroe that runs free, medically supervised one-week residential summer camps for Louisiana children living with chronic illnesses and disabilities—including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, asthma, sickle cell, autism, epilepsy, and visual, hearing, or speech impairments. Founded in 1987, it holds camps at its Camp Alabama site and never bills families.

I attended maybe 3-5 years in a row and meet a few friends that also attend every year too and we still keep in contact till this day!! I love it every bit of it from the dining hall dance we had at the end to the pool activities, hikes, scary stories, the paddle boat rides and even our camp counselors.
