The Mary W. Jackson Neighborhood Center is a City of Hampton facility that opened in 2022, named for NASA's first Black female engineer, with a gym, locker rooms, fitness center, commercial kitchen and meeting and multipurpose rooms. It is one of three sites for Hampton Parks & Recreation's Summer Adventure Camp for ages 6-12, which runs Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., with enrichment activities, visits from experts and special projects. Cost is $50 per week ($45 for each additional child) plus a $20 non-refundable registration fee, and lunch and a snack are provided free. The center also hosts Hampton's Teen Summer Engagement Initiative for ages 12-17.
