The site has a gymnasium, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, classrooms, a game room, a playground designed with the city's Youth Advisory Committee, and a 10,000-square-foot concrete skate park. Recurring youth programs include Junior Scientists, a Lego club, cooking classes, skateboard and trick-scooter lessons, Tae Kwon Do, adaptive art and an anti-bullying initiative. Teens 13 to 16 can volunteer as Teen Leaders working alongside camp staff.

They even have a playstation, air hockey, other computer games, arts and crafts, games like board games or other games kids like to do like magnet tiles and the skatepark is awesome! My son is 7 years old and he takes his BMX scooter there and it's now going to be a usual thing we do cuz the skatepark isn't full of crazy teenagers. Not being rude to teenagers actually all the teenagers I've met there are really nice. Anyways the skatepark has gear if you don't have any of your own to bring with like wrist guards helmets knee pads but you do have to bring your own skateboard or scooter. It's even great for beginners like myself I fell on my butt hard so I asked him for wrist guards and they had them in my size and my son size. I think they have at least two different rooms inside and it's $3 but if you want to do the skatepark then I think it's five I'm not sure. The stuff isn't very friendly and helpful and they have a lot of community things to do like sports and non-sports groups. I definitely recommend for something inexpensive but fun to do. ★★★★VM MCOpen gym for basketball every Saturday for $3 you cannot beat that! Inside court is usually absolutely packed normally play 5v5 full court with 2 or 3 teams with next on Saturday. The gym has such a funky smell that lingers in my nose and sinuses for 2-3 days after it can get bad. The people that work their greg and the other ladies are nice and very helpful. Over all a great place to work up a sweat or just even chill and play ping pong on a Saturday.

We checked out the rec center at MLK yesterday and had the best time playing basketball and ping pong 😁. Joe and the woman working there (didn't catch her name) couldn't have been sweeter and more welcoming. We can't wait to come back. Thanks Joe! ❤️
★Andi sciolaroRed ants all over the playground. No one in the skate park area so we were going to let our autistic daughter explore the area. A young and extremely unfriendly woman came out from wherever she was sitting and said under no circumstances could we go out there. She said they opened at two but because she wasn’t skateboarding she would not be allowed. Quote “we can’t just have her out there running around”. Geeze we are two parents watching our child who only wants to explore an area normally not available because of skaters. She then turned and walked away without saying anything. Okay lady then maybe someone could make sure the playground was a safe option at least. Never in our lives living in Dunedin have we encountered such rudeness and ridiculous rules that make no sense. Our taxpayer dollars at work. Would recommend they hire someone who is at least nice and appears to enjoy working with the community since she’s employed by the community of Dunedin.
