I've watched her work with all ages and have seen the routines and find it amazing to be around that much nurturing creativity. The Willimantic studio is in a great location. Summer camp options are awesome- my granddaughters enjoyed going.
★Kexin SongREAD THIS BEFORE YOU ENROLL IN CLASSES. While my daughter had a good experience with their classes, I had a frustrating experience with the Mansfield Academy of Dance. I canceled my daughter’s dance classes (time conflict with another activity) on 2024/11/02 by talking with Mia in person and she told me the cancellation would be effective from 12/02. However, I was charged monthly fees even after cancellation (2024/12/01 and 2025/01/01) and I couldn’t remove my payment method from the online system. Despite emailing (2025/01/18 and 01/22), calling (01/23 and 01/24 during business hours), sending messages on social media and texting (01/23 and 01/24), I only received automated replies and no direct communication with the studio. I eventually was able to remove my payment information, and the webpage showed the cancellation date was 2025/01/18. I later discovered a statement on their website, written in small font, that says “All Drops Must Be Done in Writing and Require 30 Days Notice”. This policy was not clearly communicated to me when I initially enrolled, and the way it is presented feels intentionally difficult to notice. I also don’t understand why Mia did not let me know of this when I talked with her. Their classes may be fine, the poor communication makes me feel sad because I was planning to register for their summer classes for my daughter again this year. I don’t know why they refused to communicate with me for the whole week and I’m too tired to ask for a refund. I hope anyone considering this studio to carefully read their information online if you decide to change or cancel classes.
