I went to the Magic City Discovery Center thinking it was just for kids, and somehow ended up fully invested myself. There’s a ton to do—like three levels of hands-on excitement and it’s actually hard to get kids to leave. It’s super clean, interactive, and honestly impressive for a place in Minot. The water table area in the basement is incredible. For around $20 a person, it’s one of those places where you lose track of time and energy (yours and the kids’). Totally worth it.

Science and exploration have never been this fun! My daughter and I absolutely loved our time at the Magic City Discovery Center. Every corner is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and joy. It’s the perfect mix of learning and play—she was engaged the entire time, and honestly, so was I! This is really a great place to take young kids. There are three floors of fun things to explore, and it's easy to spend at least an hour on each floor. The price is reasonable, and there are several labs that the kids could take part in if you have time to do.

Incredible! Loved by my older kids (10 and 13)—we had an absolute blast (though obviously tons to do for younger kids). We loved the water play (similar to the Boston Children’s museum!) in the basement as well as the SparkLab!, oil rig/B52 climbing area, “grain elevator” and the lights/sounds area. We’ve been to several Children’s museums all over the country and this one is as good or better than those in major cities! It’s a true gem and not to missed!
