Lutheran Island Camp is a Christian camp and retreat center on a secluded 67-acre island surrounded by East Battle Lake in west-central Minnesota, about ten miles from Henning. Its youth summer camp program includes archery, horseback riding, ropes and challenge courses, swimming, fishing, sports and team building, with special-emphasis camps in leadership, music, outdoor education, sports and equestrian programs. Campers stay in semi-rustic cabins across two villages, Sunrise (six cabins) and Sunset (four). Established in 1952, the camp is owned by the Minnesota North District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and operates year-round.

Staff was really friendly and welcoming. Accomodations were comfortable, the bathrooms were immaculately clean. Even though spring had not yet sprung, I still drank in the amazing beauty of the island, which includes seeing and hearing the loons.
