Lush Art is a step-by-step painting studio on Main Street in Perry whose kids' summer art camp runs a week of afternoon sessions, roughly 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. Each day pairs a themed painting with a themed craft and snack, across themes such as Space Day, Masterpiece Day, Ocean Day, Book Day and Family Day; the week costs $125 per child, $99 for each additional sibling, supplies included. The studio also runs open-studio days, monthly kids classes, a book club and after-school and teen options.

Powered by GoogleThis was so much fun. My sisters and I booked a sister night to celebrate one of my sisters birthday. We had so much fun painting this beautiful frog. The instructions were easy to follow, the crowd was great and the instructor was amazing. I will definitely be booking again.
My husband and I enjoyed the painting and the instructor but the class was not much fun due to talkative guests. The guests seemed to know the teacher on a personal note and talked the entire duration of the class making it difficult at times to hear the instructions clearly or just making the space seem much smaller due to constant noise. I even asked to be moved to the back of the class due to the noise and still was bothered by how NOT QUIET they were. If you like a lively class then this is for you but my husband and I wanted a quiet, intimate night out with a new experience and this was the opposite. This was our first time with this experience and with this place so we would like to try it again but maybe not at this location due to uncomfortable atmosphere.
Our kids participated in a two day summer camp. This was our first time for this program and we were very surprised. We did not expect the kids to do as many projects as they did. The even let the kids take plants home with the pots that they painted. Our kids had so much fun there. It was three hours each day and they had snacks provided to them. The teachers were nice and patient with the kids. They provided easy instructions that the kids were able to follow. We will be doing this program again!!
Lush Art in Perry is so fun and cozy. Now with a new owner Heather (former Manager) and an amazing group of instructors. Lots of great options for paint classes as well as a monthly book club, monthly art journaling class, cookie and cake decorating as well as other new options. Also lots of kids camps and at least one kids class each month with new after school options and teen options too. There are also special Makers Markets too.
This was my first time painting in a class and it was awesome and fun. The teacher had everything ready in the beginning and made it easy for someone with almost no experience to paint a beautiful picture. She explained the steps thoroughly, stopped and checked with each person individually to make sure we were with her and to see if we needed anything or had any questions. One can bring alcoholic drinks (not hard liquor) however I don't think there would have been enough time to sip anything. We took the entire 2 hours and then some but i could have stayed an hour more. I definitely will be returning.
