I've danced with Lone Star for 10 years and I have loved all of it. Lone Star is the best company I have danced for. I have tried multiple dance studios but Lone Star is definitely the best. 10/10 would recommend!

One of THE absolute worst companies. I’m talking about the main people of the company, those who run it and operate it. Isla participated in dance this season and her dance teacher was nothing short of amazing!!! But, the higher ups were some of most rude, entitled, childish people I’ve ever come across. We had so many problems with them this season. Just one thing after another. One of the big things was not being able to get in touch with anyone. Whether it be calling or emailing. I once called 11 times in a row before someone answered. But they were always quick to send emails about making sure your accounts were paid because “they’d hate for our child to be embarrassed about not performing for lack of payments”. Which they also delayed in processing payments as well. I finally emailed everyone on their (non updated website) voicing my concerns and issues. Nothing…crickets… then the costume and financial coordinator messaged me back saying she is just so busy managing all 700 dancers. Then at the costume fitting she was so ugly and hateful towards me. At that time she also decided to inform me that Isla couldn’t wear her glasses for the performances (because it’s a safety hazard). I told her that actually she would as she needs them to SEE! So I get a note from her doctor indicating so. I emailed it to the academy director. Still I hear nothing. So we go the rehearsal, check out our costumes (where I am again met with a hateful glare and unprofessional attitude of the costume coordinator). Apparently the director made a big deal about my daughter and her glasses saying “she didn’t care about the doctor’s note and my daughter wouldn’t wear her glasses”. (Also, my daughter is 5). So I email her again and let her know that “yes, my daughter will wear her glasses and if she had a problem with it then she could speak with me.” Did she come speak with me? No. But she did tell all the dance instructors to “watch out” for me and not let me near her as I had been sending her hateful emails. So she couldn’t even handle an actual adult conversation. She had to hide behind her dance instructors. Obviously Isla wore her glasses without ANY issues! But wait…there’s more. Then she changed her narrative and said it wasn’t about the glasses, it was just that they needed a strap. Isla has never had issues with her glasses. She wore them for every dance practice, never fell off. She wears them in gymnastics where she’s flipping, again, never have fallen off. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They will demand of you but then will be completely unprofessional when you question them or call them out on their BS. This whole thing isn’t about following rules and “that’s just the way things are”. It’s about being professional in running and managing a company. It’s about communicating with those who have paid a significant amount of money to your company.

My small hometown dance school is ten times better than the shows this school puts on. The dancers are rarely in sync and it looks as though the dancers have never danced together a day in their life. Chaotic and messy, disappointing for the amount the tickets cost.

The lack of professionalism and tact within the employees of this dance company is atrocious. Allowing an employee to publicly shame a nursing mother for feeding child in blatant disregard of the law makes this an organization I will never allow my child to be part of.

My daughter has been dancing with LSB for over 5 years now. I cant imagine going anywhere else. The instructors and staff truly care for their dancers.
