Little Bits Workshop

A makerspace in River Forest running summer MakerCamps for children ages 6-14, focused on hands-on skills rather than crafts-by-numbers. Camps have included sewing and constructing a hammock and learning to hang it, hand-dyeing a beach bag and bandana, pattern-based garment sewing ending in a runway show, and hand-bound bookmaking with nature-based art. Sessions combine upcycled materials, small hand tools and outdoor exploration; camp tuition runs about $295.
