We took our kids and grandkids to the Lincoln Children’s Zoo last night for a special company event, and it was wonderful. The zoo was clean, well maintained, and easy to enjoy. The grandkids’ favorite part was definitely the train ride — the volunteers who run it are fantastic and make the experience even better. A great evening for the whole family.

We had such a wonderful time at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo. One of the best parts was getting such close-up views of animals you don’t usually get to see up close, like the giraffes and penguins. It was amazing watching the monkeys, tigers, and leopards from such a close distance. The zoo is the perfect size — not too big or overwhelming — so you can comfortably see the entire park in one visit. That makes it especially great for families with kids because there’s always something fun to look at and you’re never walking too far between exhibits. It’s a really fun, interactive place where children can learn about animals while having a great time. We loved our visit and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Lincoln, especially families with kids. My favorite part was the Red Pandas! It was my first time ever seeing them, and they the cutest!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lincoln Children’s Zoo – Lincoln, Nebraska We’ve been Lincoln Children’s Zoo members since 2023, and it has been one of the best family memberships in Lincoln. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I do, but this is an incredibly interactive children’s zoo that’s perfect for families with young kids. What really sets the Lincoln Children’s Zoo apart is the animal encounters. Visitors can get up close with animals, including feeding giraffes, goats, and camels, watching penguin feedings, and interacting with smaller animals like rabbits and gerbils. The zoo also offers live educational talks and animal presentations, especially on weekends and during special events. We enrolled our daughter in Turtles & Tots, and it was excellent. While it initially felt a bit pricey (about $135 for six weeks, even with a membership), it was well worth it. The program included a snack, age-appropriate animal facts, hands-on animal experiences, and a fun activity each week. Being able to explore the zoo afterward was a big bonus. Another highlight is how play-friendly the zoo is. There are multiple play areas, including the Hidden Jungle indoor space, Ellie the Elephant climbing structure, a water play area, playgrounds near the flamingos and turtles, and a dinosaur digging area. Seasonal events like Zoo Lights and Boo at the Zoo are very well done and change each year. I recommend VIP tickets for these events and purchasing early—weekdays are easier than weekends. Overall, the Lincoln Children’s Zoo is one of the best things to do with kids in Lincoln, NE. It’s interactive, educational, and genuinely fun, and we’ve fully maximized our membership. Highly recommend for families.

What a great little zoo! We absolutely loved it! And don't let the name Children's fool you into not going, it is good for adults to. Now if you do have children with you it looks like the most amazing place to spend a day! There are many different play areas and things to explore. If you are in the area this is a place you should definitely mark off your list. Admission prices are affordable at $16.95 for adults $14.95 for children (2-12) and seniors (62 +) Children under 2 free

Half the zoo was closed because they were cleaning up after boo at the zoo AND we still had the best time. The indoor jungle had a cafe, a nursing room that really came in handy, a huge play areas for the littles that you can also view the spider monkeys from. That alone was worth the trip! We can’t wait to come back in the summer time to experience the whole zoo!
