I've been going to lifetime off and on almost from the beginning. I honestly have never been treated better, staff and management at this location are very polite and respectful. I've taught my daughter to swim during dreary winters. I've recovered here from life and work fatigue. I recognize members and staff from a decade ago. I look forward to going to the gym (something never said) This may be be over the top but there is always something healthy to do. if I'm not feeling it I'll cold plunge, jacuzzi and sauna. lifetime is the closest place to a vacation in. your back yard. I almost don't want to post this and keep and keep the sanctuary to myself. p.s. WO!! I had to come back and review my posts mistakes. I started reading other reviews and was shocked at some of the posts. My response is like any gym it has its busy times. I go mid morning or just after lunch. pool lanes are open, weight room is clear. Schedule your time around the busy times. And the water has NEVER been like warm. I sometime wonder how they afford their utilities. I hardly ever make comments but when it deserves it like this particular location you know it is sincere. I wouldn't go anywhere else. several locations cheaper or nearby. My daughter lives in New York and joined Lifetime. Her rent is 4x's. my mortgage payment and she still chooses to remain a member. please comment 🌞 Sincerely GA

The place is open to midnight on weekdays which works for me. It’s pretty much empty late night and I like that. The people are mostly friendly (not that I engage anybody or want to) but it is Indiana after all. The cold plunge has been broke for a month and the front doors are always breaking or broke. The morning classes on the main floor are a bit annoying even with ear buds in. They take up 10/13 squat racks which is damn inconvenient. I avoid mornings. The whole place has one men’s restroom with 3 toilets and 3 urinals on the first floor. That’s it! Hot water is not really hot but it’s bearable. Place could use a real scrub down of everything and really needs a deep cleaning. Im there 4 times a week and my wife likes the classes as most are free with membership. But $191 a month for the fam is getting ridiculous for the caliber of the place and the amenities that we use or that they have.

I joined this gym on the old adage of "you get what you pay for". Well, I can honestly say now that our $191/mo can be better spent somewhere else. Like some of the other reviews, the loudness in the early morning of centralized classes is a turn off and disruptor to the member just quietly going about their 6:30 workout. Regarding the equipment, there are multiple cardio machines not functioning or completely turned off, or...you'll start your workout on a treadmill and it will randomly stop and shut down. The other day I put my water bottle in the treadmill cup holder only to have it fall through to the ground (there wasn't a bottom to it). Now I check as several more are just like it. The water in the men's locker room is lukewarm at best and the toilets and showers are dated. The cold plunge has been out of order for nearly a month with no end in sight and a lot of the plates on the plate loaded machines stick together only to crash down mid set. With repeated yearly rate hikes, dirty areas throughout, and them canceling one of the only classes I enjoyed - Sunday AM spin - there is money better spent elsewhere. I'm sure the brand new gym that just opened down the street will do well offering nearly everything that Lifetime offers at $45/mo. Not sure how much longer I'll be sticking around unfortunately.

This location will charge you $150 per month and have ZERO problems scheduling group classes that take up all the newest and nicest equipment AT THE BUSIEST TIMES OF THE DAY. At some point Lifetime Corporate will hop on here and provide a generic, corporate response to this review justifying why they do this. This place should not have "blackout" times barring customers who pay good money to have access to the nice equipment they joined the gym to use in the first place. I also had to repeatedly report a creep in the men's locker room multiple times. Each time they only spoke to them and let them go on creeping people out another day. I think they finally got rid of this person, but it took this creep showing up to the gym piss drunk as well as a new report of him doing inappropriate things in the locker room to finnnaaaalllllyyyyyyy get kicked out. (I think, I will not know for certain). WiIl be canceling and never considering this chain again.

Formal Complaint Regarding Mistreatment by Paul Appleman. I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an incident that occurred during a recent visit to your location involving Paul Appleman, the instructor for the Arora Aqua class. I have been a loyal member of Lifetime for many years, and I was deeply disappointed by the unprofessional and dismissive behavior I experienced. I was swimming in the lap pool when Paul Appleman, who was facilitating the Arora Aqua class, decided to turn up the volume significantly. The loud noise became disruptive, so I politely asked him if he could lower it slightly. To my dismay, Paul Appleman responded in a condescending tone, stating there was "nothing he could do" and dismissed me outright. This response, along with his dismissive attitude, was completely disrespectful and showed a total lack of regard for my concerns as a longtime member. His behavior was not only unprofessional but also entirely dismissive of the fact that I was simply requesting a reasonable adjustment. This kind of treatment—especially from someone in a position of responsibility—makes members feel disrespected and undervalued, which is unacceptable in a facility that promotes a supportive and welcoming environment. Additionally, I am concerned about the lack of management oversight at this location. I understand the previous manager has left, and the position is currently vacant, but this should not allow staff to act without accountability. The absence of a manager only further contributes to the lack of proper conduct and oversight within the facility. Lifetime has always prided itself on providing a respectful and professional environment for all members, but this incident has caused me to question that commitment. I would appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and request that appropriate steps be taken to address Paul Appleman’s behavior, as well as to ensure that all staff maintain a respectful attitude toward members at all times. I look forward to hearing from you regarding the actions you plan to take. Sincerely, S Ledwith
