Life CHAMPS is a Little Rock nonprofit (501c3) youth sports organization offering professionally run leagues and camps in soccer, basketball, baseball, and flag football for children roughly ages 4-14. Billed as the largest youth sports organization in Central Arkansas, it runs open-enrollment recreational programs, including girls' divisions, at its Hinson Road facilities.

★megan archerNever thought i would have to deal with playing time for my kids in Kindergarten. This group does not have a standard for coaches. My 6 yr old played flag football this year and hardly got any playing time which is heartbreaking and ridiculous. The coaches at this level should be aiming to make the sport FUN and engaging for the kids. We addressed this SEVERAL times with our coach and nothing changed. He was straight up just focused on winning and playing the "best" players the whole game while other boys got about 2 minutes of playing each game. The stupidest crap. Go coach high-school. We brought this up via email and text/call to Life Champs and NOTHING. No one will get back with us on the issue. If you use this group i hope your kiddo has a coach who understands what kids need at this age because Life Champs sure isnt setting standards to make sure they do.

★Jimmy McCormickI have been in team sports from 6yrs to 43yrs played pee wee to division one track and field. Owned 4 different business's all them still going strong, made them better, then sold off. Managed up to 250 employee's over 5 states. So leading teams and managing people is a talent and blessing for me. I have been involved in ministries from homeless to prisons. Saying all of this is NOT to toot my horn but to give parents an idea that im not a parent that just has a ax to grind or im pissed off at the world. I know the dynamics of groups and behavior. I understand and have been around enough to not get my hope's way up when dealing with new groups. Im not the dad that goes crazy from the sidelines or coaches them before and after a game. Im maybe a little to laid back, which might have laid some of the ground work for what happened at Life? im leaving the word champs out on purpose. We have also had both our boys in sports for the last 5 years.Our oldest is 10 and our 5yr old just now started softball in the Miracle League , which is for disabled children(by the way is an amazing bunch of people and we love that place!!! Wonderful love it.) this was the first year our 10yr old has played football. I let the coach know that we were expecting him to not play much and to just get the feel for whats going on. What we were not ready for was the way the families were, group of clicks. Not only were they stand offish, my son was teased, name calling, and ridiculed in front of the coach, which the one doing the most teasing was his son. My son for the first time in 5 years of playing 4 different types of sports over 5 years left tore up crying and never wanting to play football or be around those people. Pretty sad! I guess its a make it or break it attitude? Steer clear of this place and do your self a favor and just put them in public league. Dont worry about getting any response from the main office. When I let them know what was going on they didn't reply or respond in any way what so ever. Lack of control,support,or care. The league should think about renaming it's self to something a long the lines of survivor or grade school play ground league!
