This place has a bad reputation for having bad refs, even when my son played here almost 25 years ago. It hasn't changed in that regard; the only change is that the business was bought by "Let's Play". My most recent experience watching my grandson play is that the refs missed many fouls on the other team members, but yet they called fouls on my grandson's team that never even happened. It's obvious that the refs do not have control of the game or the violence on the field. My daughter complained at the front desk rather than yell at the ref, and she was kicked out of the building for yelling at the ref, WHICH SHE NEVER DID! This is NOT a safe place for your child to play indoor soccer, and I would encourage folks to move to Kingdom for a safer playing environment and staff professionalism. EDIT: Trevor, your facts are not consistent. My daughter was talking with her husband about the situation, she was not addressing you at all and was not disrespectful to you. On the contrary, you were rude and unprofessional to my daughter by pointing your finger in her face. and then kicking her out. I hope you care more about the safety of our children, than to someone who complains about your referees.

This would be a zero star review if that was possible. Today I was kicked out of the building for “yelling at the ref” when I in fact did not yell at the ref, I made a formal complaint to the desk and then directed the rest of the people who had an issue with the ref to do the same! After another parent complained to the desk, Trever came out with a major attitude, tellimg all the parents on our team that our children being hurt wasn’t his concern and that he’s there to protect his ref?! What about the children playing the game? Anyway Trever decided that he was going to sit and watch some of the game to observe… great, thank you! While he was observing I was talking to my husband about how Trever could have been nicer tp the PAYING CUSTOMERS and he then turned around and told me to leave the building because I was disrespectful to the ref? I wasn’t even watching the game at this point? I tried talking to him about the fact that I had specifically made sure to address my issues with the ref the professional and correct way by talking to staff at the desk but he was dead set on kicking me out of the building! I told Trever I was going to call the owner and he laughed at me… other people tried to tell him I wasn’t yelling at any refs and he was disrespectful to my almost 70 year old mother. WOW Let’s play… you care nothing for the people that keep your company in business, Trever clearly stated he isn’t concerned for the well being of our children and the players there, and he has zero issues being rude to elderly people… and that’s the person YOU choose to represent your business? Please do better for the sake of the children and the parents who just want to watch their children play soccer. I will be contacting the corporate office if Google was accurate! Thanks so much Let’s play for a terrible, traumatic, completely avoidable and unforgettable experience. Being yelled at and treated like a child in front of 50 or so people is great… especially when it all stemmed from my desire to have a safe game to protect my son and his teammates.

Let’s play soccer portage is a great facility. Very well run and organized. I’ve played at many indoor facilities before and by far this one is the best!! I highly recommend any teams looking to improve foot skills and small sided play to join a league at this location!!

this 1 star review one is for you brian and therefore the company that allows you to facilitate official games, even on a “recreational” level. such a shame that the soccer community is so small that the spaces to play in this area are so abysmal.

Soccer Zone is a complete ripoff and a joke of an organization. We’re paying more than ever and getting the worst refs we’ve ever had. We’re literally paying the referees out of our own pockets, yet we’re stuck with the same person week after week, someone who clearly has no control over the game and misses obvious, dangerous fouls in close, competitive matches. What exactly are we paying for? On top of that, they’ve jacked up the overall cost of playing and now force teams to pay the full fee before the first game. No flexibility, no grace period—just hand over your cash up front, then get stuck with garbage officiating and zero accountability. And the best part? There’s a competing facility right down the road with better fields, far better refs, actual customer service, and way cheaper prices. It’s not even close. Soccer Zone is bleeding money out of loyal players while cutting corners and giving less. It’s insulting. If you care about your time, money, or just having a fair game, take your team somewhere else.
