Legionville is a week-long summer safety camp near Brainerd, founded in 1936 by the American Legion Department of Minnesota as the nation's first School Safety Patrol Training Center. Campers ages 9-13 learn crosswalk and bus safety, first aid, leadership and responsibility alongside the Minnesota State Patrol, and do not need to belong to a school safety patrol to attend. The lakeshore campus has cabins plus crosswalk training areas, gaga ball, four square, basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard and disc golf. More than 1,000 campers attend each summer.
