Legacy Youth Tennis and Education is a Philadelphia nonprofit that runs a Community Tennis Summer Camp combining tennis instruction with educational and character programming. A full-day camp (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) runs at four sites and a half-day camp (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) at eleven sites across the city, Monday-Friday from late June to early August; the whole seven-week program costs about $200. Campers learn to play and score tennis and do reading, writing and art activities.

The program for munchkins are well designed for fun and also most importantly the fundamentals in the game. I’m very much impressed with the drills that are used on 4-7 year olds. I wished I had this as a child. The ratio of coach to kids were 1 to 4 on average depending on the day but not more than 1 to 6.
