This is the gym you go to as a first step into cheer. The facilities look good, but it’s surface level. The banners are misleading and the trophies aren’t even from this gym. They pay for choreographers, but then don’t use the routines because Angela knows best how to lose points. Don’t worry, it’s only the parent’s money being wasted, right? Your best bet for skill improvement is with doing private sessions with coaches outside of Legacy as these coaches are not it. The price point isn’t terrible (and I hear if you complain enough they might even stop charging you) but keep a close eye on your bills because Tammie has been caught lying and over charging multiple times in the past. Your athlete will get a chance to go to competitions and compete in categories with next to no other teams so they can get banners (are you really first place if you’re the only team?). They will make great friends to trauma bond with as they get yelled at by Angela, or guilt tripped by Dez. Spend a season here to decide if you like cheer, and if you survive it move on to literally any other gym that will treat your athletes right, give you actual break downs of your bill, and will professionally communicate with the parents in a timely fashion. Legacy Athletics NC, a wonderful place for dreams to die.

Legacy Athletics is not only a Cheer/Dance program, they are HOME. I came to this gym as a coach originally but I was also able to perform as an athlete as well, so I have seen both sides. Not only did this gym build me up as a coach, resulting in me becoming head coach of a level 2 team, but they also built me up as an athlete as well not just giving me cheer/dance knowledge but giving me so many life lessons as well that I will continue to carry with me for the rest of my life. I know these people are the ones I can count on to be there for me and have my back no matter what…. they are FAMILY. This gym truly cares about their athletes and their coaches no matter what at the end of the day… they (and me) want to see these kids and adults thrive to their best abilities. If you are looking for a place to call HOME and truly live by the definition of “family”, this is the place!! I personally came from D1 gyms and have cheered for over 20 years, but this is the closest thing I ever had to a FAMILY, outside of my own. Not only do they offer just 1 program, but the kids have a choice between Cheer, Dance, Tumbling, OR ALL which you may not find at every gym, which I find amazing! Coming from me as a coach I want to teach these kids the same sport I grew up loving and still love to this day! My favorite thing is seeing the growth within these athletes and watching them perform their little hearts out on the stage. I will continue to respect, love, & care for these athletes inside and outside of the gym no matter what.

One star given only because it won’t let me give zero this place is so bad. Is your child looking for a new Cheer / Dance studio in Fayetteville, NC? Don’t waste any time on Legacy Athletics NC. Absolute worst gym I’ve ever visited. They don’t have a certified tumbling coach, they watch YouTube for tips and still teach their athletes wrong. They are all negative enforcement and they absolutely love belittling the athletes. The only thing place will teach your child is to hate the sport. BEWARE!

Angela is my favorite cheer coach. She’s a excellent leader who knows how to push athletes to their limits with tons of support along the way. Her love and knowledge for the sport along with her positive go-getter attitude help lead her teams to success. Her teams make it to nationals and worlds every year but she makes sure her teams have fun on the mat no matter what. She’s great at having her teammates learn and perfect new skills. I would recommend Legacy to anyone in the area!

Legacy Athletics is new this year but you can feel the love and dedication that they show each athlete that enters the building. My daughter is going on her 3rd year with the gym and she absolutely loves it. Yes, she has had her moments when she thinks she can’t do something but all of the coaches has encouraged her to keep on and never give up. I have seen amazing growth in my child and every-time she performs I see a change for the good. The coaches work hard and pushes proper technique, strength and safety. My daughter was apart of three teams that won National Championship this year so that speaks volumes to the coaches and the amount of time they spend preparing the kids. The coaching style is very positive and uplifting. All of the staff members are awesome and I love them all ❤️. I would highly recommend if your child is interested or would love to continue their love for cheering to come check Legacy Athletics out.
