Beautiful setting and lovely staff. The whole experience was a blessing. We came up for a women's retreat, but i feel like I've found a new fave place to visit!

I cannot say enough about our stay at Laurel Ridge. I've stayed three times now with a retreat and the staff and accommodations are amazing! Looking forward to our next stay.

We so very much enjoyed our brief but memorable stay in Friends Cottage! Two nights were not enough—convincing us that we need to return someday. The location ("off the beaten path") and the obvious care with which this camp has been established and maintained are extraordinary. They have designed a secluded setting with just the right amenities for a relaxing, refreshing, and peaceful experience. Access from the Blue Ridge Parkway and a short drive to restaurants, hiking trails, and scenic overlooks helps make this a truly desirable destination! Thanks to the staff for making this possible. See you again one day!

We came for a family getaway. We were one of the only non-staff here and enjoyed lots of quality family time. The Friends Cottage was a great size for our family of six. It has a nice kitchen and plenty of beds. We were able to kayak and canoe in the lake multiple times and made side excursions to Cascades Falls, the New River (where we went on a five mile canoe trip with Zaloos) and Blowing Rock. The Laurel Ridge staff was always friendly and full of hospitality and we had use of the Higgins Lodge (and its Wi-Fi) for some remote work. We can’t wait to come back for camps next year!

I have been coming to Laurel Ridge for as long as I can remember. I am thankful for countless amazing memories and transformational experiences from my time as a camper, counselor, and M-staffer. Laurel Ridge is also where I met and proposed to my wife. So, it is a special place to me for a lot of reasons as I know it is for many others. This past weekend my wife and I drove up from SC with our 3 young kids for a last-minute weekend getaway to Laurel Ridge. We had the unique opportunity of being able to rent a cabin in summer camp since camps are happening virtually this summer due to COVID-19. As always, the staff were super-welcoming and accommodating. We had a great time showing our kids around camp for their first time, hiking, enjoying incredible views, fishing, canoeing, and sitting by a campfire and making s'mores at night. Our kids are already asking us about coming to camp next summer! I hope more families and groups will come and see for themselves why Laurel Ridge is such an awesome place.
