Lakeview Camp is a gem. I visited with a men’s group for a three-day event and everything was top notch. The rooms had two beds and a bathroom, comparable to a minimalistic hotel. They were clean and serviceable, and the beds slept well. There were good remarks from all the men and as I knew I was going to do a review, I was polling them constantly about what they liked or disliked. There were no negative remarks about the rooms or common areas in the bunk building. The dining hall was clean, organized and on time. The food was good and plentiful, and the group agreed it was better than the last several outings at other places. The campground had lots of things to do, and I was quite impressed with the gym and pool. Other than check-in and food service, our interactions with the staff were minimal except for the zip line which was tended by a team of younger people who were all knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to visit with. I would recommend this location for your group or team and it was more than what I had expected.

Our church had a 3-day, 2-night camp. First time being a leader at kids camp. It was awesome, awesome environment!!!! Jesus was the main vocus!! Place was so large, haven't walked that much in a very long time!!! Staff are wonderful, they were everywhere to assist in every way they could. Everyday, there are planned events to enjoy. A small lake to swim in or a pool to swim at. The worship team was amazing during service!! Great cafeteria, food was great!!!!

It’s an ok place to have a short term retreat with your church, but I wouldn’t recommend you staying more than one night at a bunk cabin. It is great that they have private bunk bedrooms in cabins and private restroom with shower. However, the bunk beds are very uncomfortable to sleep on, and the food is hit or miss. The pork chop is only edible, the burger is great, the hash brown is nasty. Keep in mind as well, you won’t get service here so your phone wouldn’t work if anyone needs to call. Have to say that the staffs at the gym are rude as well.
