The Lake Superior Village Youth and Family Center is a nonprofit center in the Lake Superior Village housing office at 1901 Longyear Avenue in Marquette, serving low-income and at-risk youth ages 5-17. It provides free healthy meals, tutoring, mentoring, after-school programming and summer programming to about 500 people in the surrounding community, with roughly 25 youth attending daily. The building holds 65 people and includes a state-certified kitchen, a large meeting space, a playground and a basketball court; operations are funded by donations, grants and public funding.
