Five stars for Lake Highlands School of Music! We enrolled our daughter to help her get ready for auditions at Booker T, and her instructor, Thane, was exactly what she needed: knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in her success. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out (she got in!), and we’d absolutely recommend Lake Highlands School of Music to anyone looking for serious music lessons.

We've been very happy with taking drum lessons from Joe J. He is easy to communicate with, organized, very productive, makes my kiddo feel comfortable, and makes sure my kiddo understands the lesson. I can't say enough good things about him. He's a good fit for our 13-year old son. We think he is one of the reasons my son was accepted into Booker T Washington high school. I highly recommend him if you're looking into drum lessons.

My son was one of the first guitar students at LHSOM many years ago. I couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible experience he had learning from Zach and his outstanding guitar instruction. My son developed strong technical skills, confidence in his playing, and a genuine love for the instrument. Even more valuable was the opportunity to play in a band. Through group rehearsals and performances, he learned teamwork, communication, responsibility, and how to collaborate creatively with others. These are life skills that have extended far beyond music. Zach has the incredible ability to challenge students while keeping things positive and inspiring. Lake Highlands School of Music doesn’t just teach guitar — it builds musicians, confidence, and character. I am so thankful for the impact it had on our son, both musically and personally. Highly, highly recommend!.

My daughter Maddie has attended for voice lessons for over 2 years here with Darien and it’s been great. It’s her favorite activity by far, so that excitement has helped her grow so much here. Our family looks forward to the recitals they hold, which are very well done. The entire staff lead by Zach are knowledgeable and super easy to work with. Highly recommend!
