Lake Ellen Bible Camp is an independent Christian camp and retreat center on 375 acres in Crystal Falls, with 1,550 feet of Lake Ellen shoreline plus a private lake, ponds and streams. Summer youth camps run a week or two at a time and are known for horse programs, alongside a sandy beach with a water swing, canoes and paddleboards, an amphitheater, tennis and volleyball courts, a baseball field and a rock-climbing wall. The season closes with a family camp week, and the camp hosts weekend retreats and group rentals year round.

★★★★★Christy TuchelIf anyone else has stayed in the Nina cabin and has a paranormal experience, you’re not alone. Our family stayed in that cabin in 2012. I woke up to a woman staring at me. I thought at first it was a hoodie hanging on the bunk bed…that my mind was tricking me. No sooner was I fully awake and questioning if someone broke into our cabin then a voice inside of my head said something I can not repeat. I screamed so loud I can’t believe no one came to our cabin to check. And she vanished like a vapor. Only recently have I heard that there is a legend about the “old hag”. What I saw not only looks identical to what people describe, but what she said aligns with the legend about her intentions. I don’t know if this happened because of the location or if it didn’t matter where we were, but with whom we were with. But it was terrifying and I’ve always wondered other campers in that cabin have seen it. 🧌
