The Lafayette Park Arts & Crafts Center, a City of Tallahassee parks facility, runs a themed summer arts-and-crafts day camp for children ages 6-12 who have completed kindergarten. Campers work with polymer clay, textiles, paints, and natural dyes across weaving, painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and nature art, with plenty of outdoor playground time. The 2026 schedule offers four two-week sessions plus a one-week session in June.

Whether you come to visit the community center with daily events (and Summer Camp facility), the tennis court or park this park has everything you need! There is a basketball court, but it's more of a loop than a court and it's overgrown, but the hoop still works! :D
