My grandson has been with ladybird for 2yrs now. When he first started it broke our hearts. He wouldn't eat, nap or interact with the kids. He was home with us. After about 90 days he was in love excited and ready to go and still is. It's the best choice and fit. His communication skills is above the average 3yr old. Love the fact they have cameras which we rarely watch. Staff is GREAT. Highly recommend this daycare.

I would not recommend this daycare to any parent. My experience there was extremely disappointing and stressful. Although I heard they changed directors, Ms. Sherry remains one of the most unprofessional people I’ve dealt with. The center constantly seemed understaffed, and parents would get called to pick up their child for very unreasonable situations — for example, if a child did not want to nap. It felt like there was very little understanding that parents have jobs and responsibilities. Some staff members were kind, especially Ms. Roro, but overall I was very concerned about the professionalism and behavior of certain teachers. Ms. Alex repeatedly told me she had to put my child to sleep every day, even though I could clearly see on the camera that my child often put herself to sleep independently, with only occasional back tapping. After I began raising concerns about things I noticed, I felt like certain staff members started creating unnecessary negative reports about my child in order to push her out of the school. The reports included things like not wanting to leave the playground immediately or climbing on a table — behaviors that are completely normal for a child who had just turned 3 years old. The situation eventually escalated to the point where Ms. Sherry removed my child from the school after she ran down the hallway while there was nobody at the front desk supervising. Ms. Alex herself admitted she was already holding the hands of two other children at the time, meaning there simply was not enough staff available to properly supervise all the kids. Instead of taking responsibility for the lack of staffing and supervision, they blamed and removed a 3-year-old child. What also felt extremely unfair and inconsistent was seeing other children display much more serious behavior issues — including a child having major tantrums and throwing chairs in the classroom — without being removed from the school. Yet my child was treated as if normal toddler behavior was unacceptable. I was also deeply uncomfortable with the behavior of Ms. Kelly. My child told me that Ms. Kelly would dig her thumb into her hand, which was very upsetting to hear. She was also cold and unwelcoming toward the children, and would wake my child from naps by making her stand up. When I communicated that to the director, that’s when everything started changing. Overall, I did not feel that my child was cared for with patience, warmth, fairness, or professionalism, and I would strongly encourage parents to look carefully before enrolling their children here.

We were initially hesitant have having seen some bad reviews earlier but the management completely changed since then and we could not have been happier with our kids' experience at Ladybird in Oakleaf. Ms Ciarra has done a great job getting things onto a good track, and Ms Rosetta, one of the teachers, is a really special teacher - her style in animating the class, making sure the kids had fun while picking up good habits (our son was folding his own naptime blanket on the second day!), and keeping them learning was really amazing to see in action. Our son was excited to go to school and loved class. There were also some comments here about cleaning, smells, etc and we never had any issues. If in doubt go check out the school... we're very glad we did, and our kids were very happy there. 5 stars from us.
