We have been a part of La Petite Family for 2-3 years now and we could not be happier with the quality of care and education our kids have received. There are so many schools closer to where we live and yet we choose LPA because it’s the best! Ms. Pam and all the amazing staff are what makes this place truly special. Our kids feel loved and enjoy their days filled with so many awesome activities. Ms. Courtnee goes over and beyond to make sure every kid is prepared for kindergarten. Ms. Marlene is so great with toddlers we are already planning to enroll our third kid even though we don’t even need childcare yet. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to Coach K, Ms. Shameka and Ms. Courtnee who never wavered in their support of our oldest son. You embraced his energy, guided him with patience, and helped him grow into the confident kindergartener he is today. We appreciate you more than words can say. LPA is truly a hidden gem! We hesitated to write this, since the parking lot is already a battlefield and we don’t need more contenders!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about La Petite Academy on Springfield Road. The Director, Ms. Pam, is truly amazing—kind, supportive, and an exceptional leader who is clearly respected by both staff and families. Her leadership creates such a positive and nurturing environment for the children. My child’s preschool teacher, Mrs. Shamika, who also serves as the Assistant Director, is doing an outstanding job. She is attentive, engaging, and genuinely invested in the children’s growth and happiness. It is clear that she loves what she does, and it shows every single day. The entire staff is incredibly welcoming and creates an environment where children feel safe, valued, and genuinely cared for. From the moment we walk in, it’s clear that every team member takes the time to build meaningful connections with the children and treats them with kindness and patience. What really sets this school apart is the level of creativity and effort put into daily activities. I have seen them host glow-in-the-dark parties, movie days with popcorn, hands-on science experiments, themed days like Mario Brothers, visits from the Fun Bus, and so much more. There is always something exciting happening that keeps the children engaged and eager to learn—honestly, it makes me want to join the class myself! This team goes above and beyond, and they absolutely deserve recognition for the care, energy, and dedication they pour into these children. I am incredibly grateful for the positive experience my child is having here.

First things first: we LOVE LPA! Our son has been enrolled since he was four months old, and from his very first day in the infant room we've been met with love, kindness, compassion, and genuine care for his wellbeing. My husband and I both work full-time, so he's at LPA all day every day and I don't exaggerate when I say that the staff there is really on the front lines of his care. They're so in tune with his needs, and they're always giving us a preview of what's coming up next for him developmentally and socially. Every teacher he's had has been phenomenal, and the administration (shoutout Ms. Pam and Ms. Shameka!) are always on top of their game. What's even better is that every teacher in the building, even the ones whose classroom he hasn't entered yet, know our son's name. It really feels like a family. Regarding programming, LPA Glen Allen is always doing the funnest stuff. I'm constantly downloading pictures from their mobile app (another great perk) and sending them to our family to brag on what my kiddo is up to throughout the day. He thinks he's just playing with his friends, but you can really see his growth in mind and spirit from the engaging activities they have. It's really the best, we feel so fortunate to have found a place that we can call home for the duration of his daycare career. Truly if Ms. Pam would just open a college then we'd be set for life!
