Powered by GoogleSuch an incredible community! We have been with this studio for going on five years And we truly wouldn’t want to be anywhere else even after taking a couple years off, we were welcomed back with open arms. I love how dedicated the teachers are & the studio owner Lora is truly so passionate about all of her student students.
Being part of the LA Dance family has been an incredible experience for us. My daughter started at just three years old and is now thriving on the company team, while my middle daughter enjoys her recreational classes. The studio truly feels like a family, thanks to the amazing teachers, staff, and the wonderful owner, Lora. Their dedication and support extend beyond the dance floor, making a lasting impact on our kids' lives. We feel so grateful to be part of such a special community.
Parents, Think Twice Before Enrolling Here! I initially had high hopes for this dance studio, but after my recent experience, I would never trust them with my child again. Last week, my daughter’s hip-hop teacher, Hayley, took a Snapchat video of her without my knowledge or permission and claimed she was sending it to my sister supposedly, who by the way— confirmed she never got this video before I even reached out to the studio, so who knows who it was actually sent to, which is part of the problem. My daughter felt uncomfortable about this, so I called the studio to address it. I spoke with both the front desk and Hayley directly. Hayley apologized, acknowledged that it was inappropriate, and I assumed the issue was resolved. However, when my daughter returned to class, she came home upset, saying Hayley ignored her during class and wouldn’t talk to her. A child should never be treated differently simply for telling their parent about something that made them uncomfortable. That kind of retaliation is unacceptable in any professional environment, especially one involving children. As a result, I withdrew her and left a review explaining my concerns. Instead of responding professionally, the owner, Lora, emailed me to claim I had never informed anyone at the studio before posting my review—despite the fact that I had spoken to two staff members, including the teacher involved. Rather than taking accountability, she dismissed my concerns and attempted to downplay the issue. This experience made one thing very clear: the studio is more concerned with protecting its reputation than with maintaining a safe and respectful environment for its students. If this is how they handle legitimate concerns from parents, I can only imagine how they deal with other issues behind closed doors. There are plenty of dance studios that prioritize professionalism, communication, and the well-being of their students. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. I strongly encourage other parents to consider that before enrolling their children here. Edit: Much of this was already outlined in my review, but your response itself has become the biggest issue. Your own policies explicitly prohibit uploading photos or videos without consent (see attached screenshot), yet you’re now contradicting them to justify what happened. I didn’t pay tuition for dance teachers to take unauthorized Snapchat videos of my daughter, nor for her to be treated differently after I addressed it. Even Hayley admitted it was inappropriate. Your time would be better spent taking a business class and becoming familiar with your own policies rather than arguing with parents who are simply holding you to your own standards.
The best dance studio in town by far. I couldn’t be more happy with Lora and her team. We brought our sweet and shy 4 year old daughter in 2 months ago. She has already broken out of her shell and improved her dance immensely! My wife and I are beyond happy and highly recommend LA Dance.
10/10 and even more if I could. My little dancer came from a studio that lacked communication & respect for her even from her own comp team. I searched for the best placement for her when I decided to pull her out and it has made my heart so happy we chose this place,. She did the four days of dance auditions and prep classes without having any regular classes and EVERYONE was so welcoming to her and I and was just amazing. From the parents we spoke with in the lobby, to the staff, all the way to the girls dancing with her. The owner as had open communication with me if I’ve had questions and really has helped me through this process with acclimating through everything and I couldn’t be more grateful to have found a dance home and a place where she can REALLY thrive.
