Great art classes and dance. My daughters take so many here. Reasonably priced. The art and dance teacher are kind and helpful.

When I first pulled up in front of this building and looked around the area I was very tentative and almost did not even get out of my car. However, I am happy that I did. While this is by no means a high-end New York City type gallery of the arts, the art on display was eclectic, entertaining, and mostly very impressive. Frankly, I was more impressed by some of the artwork than many things I have seen in museums and high-end galleries. I would recommend planning on spending at least an hour here. While some of the art is what I was expecting based on the location and the building itself, I was surprised by how many of the art pieces were truly impressive. In today's world of instant gratification posts and reels and tick tock videos and such, it's easy to overlook physical art media. And much of the art produced today falls far short of impressive. That is why I must encourage you to stop and consider each and every one of the art pieces on display at this venue. And perhaps, find a place in your home or business that one of these pieces might be able to speak to you for the rest of your life.

Had a great time learning to sling clay! Emily was very skilled, patient, and nice instructor!

This art center offers a multitude of classes. There's a pottery studio, dance classes, printmaking, needle arts and more. They offer classes for kids and have a vibrant art program for local homeschooled kids. I have taken a number of classes here: silk scarf dyeing, tamari ball embroidery, gel plate printing and even a dance class. The instructors have all been very good and I was pleased with the outcomes of my projects. The art center also hosts community events, such as First Friday art shows. Something is always going on at the Knoxville Arts and Fine Crafts Center. You can check their calendar online to find an event that interests you.

I really enjoyed the pottery class I took here. The instructor explained the whys and hows of what we were doing as opposed to just showing us the clay and saying "go for it." It was a little difficult I figure out which door to use, but I may have missed a sign.
