Joe Budd Youth Conservation Center

Went as a school field trip, and the students loved it. My son and his friends loved the fishing! Several kids caught fish and were super happy to pose for pictures (my son caught 2 fish in the time given). They were able to fish for an hour and had everything provided for them to do so. The guy who led the fishing group helped them with hooks and bait (if needed) and helped with the catch and release. While one group fished, another group collected water from the pond to look for bugs under microscopes, and the 3rd group learned about pollution and run-off and how it effects wildlife and water sources and the ways to protect it. We spent 3-4 hours there and had a great time. They have a clean new restroom area with a covered picnic table area. The employees were super nice and knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back.

The Knee-High Naturalist adventure program was so much fun, my 2 year old loved all of it! We learned about bugs, animals, found some real ones in the pond and on a nature trail and also did some cute crafts. Highly recommend!
