The JCC of Greater Buffalo's Holland Family Building on Delaware Avenue is the downtown home of the JCC, whose summer program is Camp Centerland, a day camp held on the Irving M. Shuman Campgrounds in Getzville. Families at this location can buy a weekly shuttle that drops off at 8:20 a.m. and picks up at 4:30 p.m. Camp serves children entering kindergarten through grade 9, plus a Leader-in-Training track for entering grade 10, and mixes outdoor adventure, creative arts, sports and team building with swimming pools, a climbing tower and nature trails. Grounded in Jewish values and open to campers of all backgrounds, it charges $455-$560 per week depending on division and membership, with extended care available and scholarship support through the Gretchen S. Gross Memorial Endowment.

Dropped in while my gym was closed. Great facility, new machines. Shannon at the front desk is very lovely.

The gyms been upgraded recently and you can tell it’s good because it’s way busier now.

I have been a member for less than a week and have had 3 disappointing interactions with the staff and honestly do not feel welcome here and wish I had never joined. The first staff did not know what they were talking about, the second staff acted as if me asking him questions was a bother to him even though it was 530 am and there was no other members at the desk and yesterday my daughter and I went to a yoga class for the first time and we asked where the class was located and the man at the desk said he did not know and he had never been downstairs. I find this hard to believe and would feel better if he would just say they are not really welcoming for everyone. I regret joining and will be looking into a way to cancel.

I absolutely love this place! Unlike other gyms we’ve been to that feel more like a business, this one truly feels like a community. We’ve been members for two months and have really enjoyed both the heated pool and the gym. Last night, we attended a fantastic cooking class taught by Errol, and it was such a great experience. I’m already looking forward to next month’s class!

Its a fine gym, small but cleanly and taken care of. Welcoming culture for beginners. Only issue is their hours are very limited on most days theyre open, and they are closed many days for holidays and who knows for what else. For the price, i think they should be open much more often.
