Using the center to swim laps. Pool length is a bit shorter than a standard 25 yds but do-able. Lifeguards are always nice and attentive. Once you figure out how to navigate around kid birthday parties - you are good to go.

The pool and the play ground are great. My son loves the water slides and we come to play on the playground often. The issues that I have had are people not being acceptive to children with disabilities. My son (5), has autism. He loves to climb high, jump in the deep end and go down the water slides without a second thought. He lives for thrill. So today, I brought my son to swim while I sat out with my baby. My baby has parallel club foot, therefore, she can't swim due to casting on her legs. Well, the staff has been very rude to me today. I paid the $8 as I was told too even after I explained to the lady that I wasn't able to swim today due to my babies medical condition. Then, a former employee I spoke with told me the other locations they didn't make you pay. So I went back. I asked the front desk for a receipt. The lady told me that I couldn't get a receipt and there was nothing she could due after shift change. She then told me I was being hostile with her when I simply was only asking for a receipt and explained to her I wanted to ask for a refund with the manager. The lady started asking me If I knew I couldn't swim due to my babies condition, then why was i here. I again told her my son was swimming today. So she proceeds to ask me who was watching him while I was there. ( The lifeguards was there watching him for me). She asked me why I didn't have no one to hold my baby so I could swim. As if any of this was relevant to my complaint... A few minutes later, the lady comes to me and offers me a day pass for the next time we come. So she eventually made it right and handled the issue as she should have from the begining. I would also like to say that last year we stopped coming here after a lady was very rude to my son. He having non verbal autism; wants to play with everyone. He doesn't understand that he can't just jump in rotation when people are playing without asking. Well, he wanted to catch the ball too. This lady made a very ugly comment to him, then she had her kids completely ignore my son's existence. Needless to say, we never came back last year. Please para, push for inclusiveness and keep your facility bully free.

The Tingle Center is great. My family has a membership, so we're able to use all the amenities. We love swimming in the indoor pool. My wife likes to use the equipment in the main workout area. My kids love the large outdoor playground. The restrooms and showers are always clean and well maintained. My wife and I appreciate that during the longer school breaks, they offer childcare. My oldest daughter is able to take advantage of this and she always has fun. They have activities they do at the center, as well as optional activities off site, like field trips to the movies, or the mcwayne center. The staff there is always friendly and welcoming. Overall, I'd say the Tingle Center is a valuable resource that I'm glad to have available to our community.

This place is so much fun! $8 for a day pass to use the whole place (or can get a membership for cheap). Heated indoor pool. The two water slides are super fun but just to prepare if it’s cold, the water slides are the only part of the pool area that is NOT heated. I highly recommend this place. Still tolerable though and I even went on one of the coldest days of the year and was fine using the slides.

I cannot speak of the inside of the building, but I took my hyper 4 year old son to the outside playground & he loved it. The great thing is that it’s free to the public & located right next to the Tuscaloosa Sheriff Dept, so I felt very safe in this area. The bad thing is if you go during the middle of the day, there is no shade for the playground, although there is a covered pavilion right next to it w/ picnic tables. We went in the evening while the sun was setting, so the trees provided enough shade for us.
