JAX camp is a Scouts BSA tent camping facility. I am a 37 year member of the organization and have directed several camp-o-rees and unit outings at this camp ground. Its central Door County location makes it ideal for Troop outings to Door County and all it has to offer. The facility offers a well and latrine for both male and female use. It also offers a large open area for out door activities. Its inexpensive and privet. Our Scouts BSA unit and District always enjoy our time there.
We had a fantastic time with a crew of Boy Scouts on their high adventure. We used it as our home base, and went sailboating every morning and kayaking every afternoon. It is considered a “primitive” camp site, but has a well water pump and modern outhouses (cement base, etc). The dining area already had a shelter set up over the picnic tables and the cooking area was already set up as well. Our scouts (and adults) had a great time, and our 2 scouting guides worked great with the younger scouts.
I really don't know anything about this place, except that the road that goes past it is a very Steep Hill. Maybe the steepest around Sturgeon Bay. So I guess I slowed down going past it.
