The Jamestown Area YMCA runs a themed summer day camp for children ages 5-11 at two sites: Camp Chautau at the Jamestown Y and Camp Adventure at the Lakewood Family YMCA. Each week has its own theme with swimming, sports, arts and crafts, cooking, outdoor activities and a Friday field trip to places such as Allegany State Park, the Erie Zoo and Splash Lagoon. Camp runs 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with breakfast and lunch included through the Y's Summer Feeding Program. Weekly rates are $260 for members and $290 for non-members, with a 20% sibling discount, a $10 weekly deposit, and DSS childcare subsidies accepted.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Jamestown Area YMCA directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleClean, great workout areas, usually low traffic. That said, they used to offer a fob and 24/7 services. They open late on Saturday and close early, aren't open Sundays, and don't offer the key fob anymore. I found real value in showing up and simply working out at an off hour. Until they bring that back, I'll begrudgingly pay $80 a month for my family but there's better value in town.
The people are wonderful here. The facilities are old but well-maintained. I just wish the pool was open on the weekends :-)
I've been wanting to cancel for a long time now. Drama filled and rude employees. After the event with the rude employees today and then overstepping boundaries and control I will no longer take my kids here. A decision that I should have made along time ago. Noone seems to know rules and they are all making up their own as they go and expect people to know each individuals rules. But when they start questioning buisness where they don't belong then they cross lines. Half the kids are out of control and awful after school hours.
So far so good. I like the YMCA. Love going there and going in there treadmill. There open swim is nice. Water Waz not to cold injoy. It
Longtime member here (6 years) Workout areas are okay, but the front desk women (especially the 30 something with dark hair and bangs) are VERY rude and unhelpful. Wish there was a way to key in my number and avoid them, they are never friendly. Additionally, the Jamestown Y recently got rid of child watch in the evenings. This was a huge incentive to be a member here. Now the only child watch is from 9a-11a in Lakewood. That’s a highly inconvenient time…unless you’re a sahm Lakewood mom…we can see who the Y in this area treats as a priority….Likely won’t renew my membership here. I don’t feel like a valued member of the gym, and it isn’t free to come here. Pretty disappointed with services in the last 6 months.
