Powered by GoogleWe took 37 Scouts and 11 Leaders up here and absolutely loved it. The bugs weren't that bad. Caught some fish. Had a fantastic time with all the merit badge classes, water activities, shooting sports, COPE course, climbing stuff, and the food was pretty great too. Excellent staff as well.
Several of my kids have been to camp at Island Park Scout camp many years and I have a few who have worked there and they have all loved it. My Husband and I have gone the last couple years as leaders in our boys troop and it has been a great time. It is a youth lead camp so there is always going to be a problem some where but the adult leaders are always very quick to step in and help when they are needed. The weather is usually pretty decent the mosquitoes are always bad so just be prepared.
Such a beautiful place and an amazing program the scouts have.
It was a very fun time for my troop but the camp could have used some more organization.
Worth the time for scouts to go to this scout camp. The new addition of the astronomy merit badge is really cool for new scouts ( we saw Jupiter, Saturn, the andromeda galaxy) food is good. I'd recommend bringing bikes for the scouts to get to and from places.
