Both my daughter and son have participated in two Disney musical shows through IYT, they also assisted in theatre camps for younger kids which are offered during the summer by IYT , I have seen them and their friends flourish in acting, singing and creativity. The shows are full blown productions usually the performances would be at the Irving Arts Center. The directors are not only wonderful teachers but also genuinely great humans who create a nurturing environment for every child or youth in IYT. Children who participate in IYT want to always be involved in this group and are eager to be part of future shows, they support each other, it's such a great environment! I highly recommend Irving Youth Theatre for anyone looking to help their children grow both on and off the stage. We are truly fortunate to have this opportunity available for kids in Irving.

We had been looking for a closer to home place we could be more involved with and we are beyond excited about Irving Youth Theatre when we learned about them. When asked why she likes IYT, my daughter says the friends she has met and gets to work with on shows. The kids involved with this group are a great set of kids and we keep building. She also says Dr. and Mr. Hill do much better in having the kids involved more in each show. Some places she has been she would only be in a small portion of the show and then sitting most of the time. But here many kids are in group songs and dances, regardless of if they have an individual part or not. They do a great job of educating the kids on theatre terms, working with groups, building sets, and the many aspects of running a show. They are also very patient yet provide structure for the kids We have done 2 camps, 2 shows and working on our next show now as well as several opportunities to perform across the metroplex at some really cool places and for some neat groups. My daughter finally got her break with a lead part in a show here as Dory. Thank you IYT for coming to town! We love you.
