Powered by GoogleSuch an amazing place with people you know who care. My son (13) and me (42) both signed up full day and had an amazing time. I've always been worried about my son given attention span and dirt bikes but their process made its super inviting an it all just worked..safely! Price was extremely reasonable more so in favor of the customer of you ask me. Staff was super kind and patient. Today was a core memory for sure. Cant recommend enough small, young, old, tall its a blast.
I’m so pleased with the structure of this camp. It is a first time experience for a sleep away camp for my son. When I asked him would you do it again, he said yes! Just yesterday, my son was going on explaining to his doctor about how to use a dirt bike, slow it down, and regulate turns. My favorite was “my coach said when I can safely and comfortably make turns, then I can start on the next level of speed”. That encapsulates the hopes I had for my son’s experience when I registered him- it’s not about speed, but regulating it when you know you can speed off. Most of his doctor’s appointment yesterday was explaining to the team how to throttle it and have control of the speed, how to gauge when you are ready to increase the speed, and to do it for yourself and have fun. For an 11 year old to explain every aspect in details clearly shows how much learning was involved before coaches branched them off to the application of learning. He said he wants to come here every year to become a junior counselor. Aside from the dirt bike activity, they were very accommodating and had a balance of other social activities- swimming, movie, camp fire, and having kids socialize in their natural element (which is a hard find in this digital age). The only suggestion I have is COME TO NY OR THE TRI-STATE AND OPEN UP A DIRT BIKE CAMP. You will have so many kids lined up that it will take years to catch up to the waitlist roster 🙂 There are too many kids thirsty for dirt bike experiences that in NY. Shout out to all the coaches, trainers, counselors and of course Mr. and Mrs.Turner for providing an experience of a life time. P.S.- We are from NY, and we plan on registering next year. It’s that AMAZING!
My two kids had an amazing time at this camp. It was their first sleepaway camp experience and when asked if they would like to return, they answered with a resounding “Definitely!” All of the staff are kind, supportive, and committed to the kids’ safety and their having a fun time. My kids came home with tons of great stories, as well as confidence and a love for motocross. Highly recommend if you have a kid who loves bikes and wants to ride!
Iron Horse is absolutely the best kids camp in the country. This was our second year at the camp with our son and can't wait to go back. Mr. & Mrs. Turner run a very professional and safe atmosphere perfect for learning how to ride combined with summer fun. This camp checks all the boxes for parents to feel comfortable leaving their kids for a week or two. Thank you Iron Horse, see you next year!
This camp was always the highlight of my summer growing up. I’ve been going here since I was 8 years old and couldn’t have picked a better place to give myself better opportunities around amazing people. The staff is patient and welcoming, the learning process is thought through. The campers never fail to keep camp fun. With all the different activities to do along with the best one being motocross this is definitely the camp any kid would want to come too!! Photos attached are one of my first summers there to the most recent!
