STAY AWAY FROM IA SCHOOL! We enrolled our son at InterActive Academy after being told by the Director, Barb, that they were “child whisperers” who specialize in helping kids work through big emotions and transitions. That could not have been further from the truth. From day one, our child — just 19 months old — understandably struggled with the transition into daycare. Instead of providing comfort, patience, or meaningful support, the staff left him isolated and treated him as if he were the problem. After only five days, despite charging premium tuition, Barb informed us that he was “not a good fit” and removed him from the program. To make matters worse, this was communicated in a passive-aggressive email rather than a direct, compassionate conversation in person. This is not a school that supports children or partners with families. They give up at the first sign of difficulty while hiding behind false promises and polished marketing. Parents should know exactly what they’re signing up for and what they aren’t getting at IA.

My two girls have been in gymnastics here for over 2 years and we’ve had a great experience. We moved here from a different gym and my girls have learned so much and have grown as gymnasts. The teachers they have had are great (Ms. Joyce, Ms.Alex, and Ms. Ivy) and very patient with them. My girls love going to classes here. I have recommended this gym to others.

WARNING! SAVE YOUR MONEY! This place is playing games with my son and his progress IN gymnastics and I'm absolutely disgusted by it. His "teacher" has said time and time again that he is capable and has the ability to move up into the next gymnastics class and has been for months. And when confronted about moving up, there are excuses made time and time again. First the numbers are crazy and they don't have the space. Then it's because he "talks too much" with another kid; they are 4 years old. THEN, it turned into having to wait until he turns 5 until he will be forced to move up, even though he has been able to move up for months on his own capabilities. They are robbing money from us by not challenging my son or teaching him anything different. It's literally the same thing over and over again. Please avoid this place and their targeting of children for whatever reason. What is the real reason? I'll never know because we've been given multiple contradicting answers. My son loved going here but if they are not going to do their job and teach him anything, I cannot justify him continuing to go here every week and not be challenged by anything, because he is already capable. Thank you for ruining a beautiful thing for my child.

The school and the swim lessons should be two different systems. Our experience at the school was horrendous. Our child was struggling with some big emotions after a change to a new school and was promptly kicked out after 1 week. We were told to seek out developmental preschool by the director who had just met her. On the other hand our girls loved swim lessons there. It’s worth mentioning that the swim teachers never had an issue with our daughter who did lessons for 3 years.

The staff at interactive do not live up to their motto of building 'strong confident healthy kids'. They are unprofessional and incredibly rude. My son is 3 and took one swim lesson there. He was scared and the staff did not help him get acclimated at all. They just put him in the water while he was crying and trembling from fear. I used to be a swim instructor and there is a fine line between pushing a child and letting them realize on their own their fears are irrational. I would expect a place like this to understand that. I believe my son has been scarred by his interaction at the pool. The woman in charge came and got me because 'we are having trouble following directions' because all he would do is sit on the stairs and cry. I was appalled that they could treat another human, let alone a child this way. He has been telling me all day 'Mommy, that lady at the pool was so scary. I thought she was going to make me drown'. I am considering suing this company for how they treated my son today.
