iCode Cupertino center is, in my opinion, the best robotics academy for children in the Silicon Valley. Terence, The chief instructor at iCoda Cupertino, is a great mentor and organizer. The first time I contacted Terence by email, he not only answered all my questions in detail but also gave me a long phone call so that I could learn everything about the classes in the academy. He also made several great suggestions on my kid's choice of the program in the academy. My feeling is that he cares deeply about the growth of every student. The instructor of the white belt class is also a very responsible and knowledgeable teacher, and my kid learned a lot of engineering stuff from her. Overall, I highly recommend iCode Cupertino to any parents looking for a really good robotics academy for their children to learn engineering knowledge and develop the relevant capabilities.

Our son joined the Vex Robotics team for the Icode Cupertino branch this past season. Despite joining the Robotic competition team later in the season, he was given ample guidance and learned a lot. The Robotic team coach is great with kids and is able to bring together a team with different strengths and personalities, and leverage each of them to their fullest potential. It was amazing that the team could make it to the Regional championship in their first year as a team. I would highly recommend this Icode location.

My son has had an incredible experience with iCode Cupertino’s Robotics team! Terence is amazing — he strikes the perfect balance of guidance and letting the kids figure things out on their own. He’s patient, encouraging, and really knows how to inspire them to do their best. The team isn’t just focused on winning — they’re learning teamwork, problem-solving, and adapting to challenges along the way. We were thrilled that they made it all the way to the state championships in their first season (a photo from one of their competitions is attached). I can’t wait to see what they accomplish next year! Highly recommend!

My 9 year old (almost 10) has been a student with I-code and Terence for almost 2 months now. He joined as a member of the VEX competitions team and he absolutely loves it. Terence is an amazing teacher and knows how to motivate kids to think independently. What I really appreciate about Terence's style of coaching the kids is he guides them in a very hands off manner to encourage them to push themselves and find solutions. This helps build confidence and independence in them. But at the same time Terence somehow manages to teach them all the crucial aspects of engineering/robotics/building/problem solving and above all TEAM WORK! I-code is not just teaching these kids robotics but soft skills beyond that. I have seen the kids work as a team and so efficiently. This is one class where we do not have to remind our kid to go, he is so eager to spend more and more time at the centre. Terence makes the sessions so engaging that even after being there for 3-4 hrs our kid is not tired but rather excited to tell us all his innovations/learning! Would high recommend icode and Terence as a coach/teacher!

We have 2 boys, ages 6 and 7, taking classes 2 days a week currently. We had tried out different afterschool activities before iCode, which our sons either did not like or we didn’t find to be educationally useful. Our sons have reported that this is their favorite activity while they seem to be learning useful basic skills related to coding, robotics, and hand-eye coordination. Terence has also been very accommodating and seems invested in our sons’ progress.
