Hume New England is an overnight Christian youth camp on a 425-acre property in Monterey for students entering grades 6 to 12, part of the Hume Lake Christian Camps organization. Camps run Monday through Friday as four-night weeks, with chapel three times a day, small groups and evening devotions alongside recreation and a Monday afternoon swim test. Most campers attend with a church youth group that brings its own counselors; individual campers are accepted at a higher rate with a counselor provided by the camp. The health care team includes nurses, and scholarships the camp calls Camperships are stated to be available for every camper who needs them, covering up to half the cost.
