Hoop Code has been an incredible experience for my 10-year-old son. He truly loves being there and looks forward to every practice. The environment is positive, motivating, and supportive, and you can really feel how much the coaches care about each kid’s growth and confidence. Every coach at Hoop Code is amazing. They are patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping the kids improve, no matter their skill level. I especially want to highlight Zack and Dustin, who also work with my son one on one. The time, effort, and dedication they put into him is truly outstanding. They are incredibly patient, detail-oriented, and always pushing him to be better while still making the training fun and motivating. Each of them brings something unique in their own way, and together they’ve helped build his confidence, skills, and love for the game. The progress we’ve seen from their individual work has been incredible, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the impact they’ve had on him. We feel so grateful to be part of such a great program and highly recommend Hoop Code!

Hoop Code Basketball Academy is all about basketball and family. The environment is positive, supportive, and truly focused on building confident young athletes. Coach Diego’s hard work, dedication, and compassion stand out—he connects with the kids, teaches core principles, and treats the team like family. Since joining Hoop Code, my nephew has shown incredible improvement in focus, teamwork, and perseverance. He’s built strong friendships on and off the court, learned valuable basketball skills, and gained the confidence to keep pushing forward. We love this organization and recommend Hoop Code 100%—best decision we’ve made.

As a single mother, finding an affordable league that also understands a demanding work schedule isn’t easy. HoopCode checked all those boxes. The league was reasonably priced and flexible, which made it possible for my son to participate without added stress. Both my son and I responded really well to Coach Diego’s coaching style. He focused on simple fundamentals, conditioning, and—most importantly—reinforcing a positive mindset. Coach Diego consistently went above and beyond, dedicating his personal time both on and off the court to us. It’s easy to see that he genuinely cares about the players and their development. Even though our team never won a game, the kids had a great time, stayed motivated, and truly enjoyed his leadership and fun personality—which honestly matters more than the scoreboard. I rarely leave reviews, but Coach Diego’s consistent dedication inspired me to recognize him. Coaches like him make a real difference. And if Coach Diego happens to read this… he still owes me that dinner date from our game of HORSE that night 😉. Thanks again, HoopCode—it was a fun experience, and Coach Diego is nice!

Let’s be honest—most recreational basketball coaches are dogwater and just plain out cheeks. That said, Joe Deigo Ceja, apparently also known as “Jodi” on the courts, is the complete opposite. Jodi is a patient, intentional teacher—think Mr. Miyagi from Karate Kid mixed with a Jedi from Star Wars. He truly understands the fundamentals of basketball and, more importantly, knows how to translate and communicate the game so kids of all ages and skill levels can understand it. I watched multiple kids who didn’t look very athletic at the start of the season develop real confidence and skill—out there looking like mini Allen Iversons by the end. And no… we ain’t talking about practice—this showed up in games. Jodi did an outstanding job this season. Honestly, the $15/hour rate doesn’t come close to reflecting the value he provides in developing our youth, both on and off the court. Big thank you to Jodi and HoopCode for running a family-friendly league and staffing the organization with people who genuinely care. Great culture, great coaching, great experience. Lastly… I lost some aura attending these games due to excessive glazing, but it was worth it.

We love the entire Hoop Code organization and all of the coaches. They naturally become part of your family when you see them 3 -4 times a week. The program is structured and organized, and all of the coaches are very kind, patient and professional. My daughter has improved so much in less then a years time, and looks forward to every practice, scrimmage and game. This is an elite organization for the best of the best but even if you are not there athletically or skill wise, they will provide all the tools and training for your child to get there. You just have to show up, be patient and stay committed.
