Powered by GoogleLovely staff and facility. Clean, good amount of weight machines for the price. The staff has always been incredibly friendly. Only four stars because I canceled my membership today due to the pool and how lap “lanes” operate. This is not the place to swim laps if you’re actually trying to workout. They do a circle swim and with so many others in the lane there really needs to be a slow lane and a fast lane with circle swim versus just one open area. I asked to keep to the wall so I didn’t have to pass five people every lap and they weren’t able to change the set up (understandable, but just does not work for even a moderately paced swimmer who would like to keep form and not look ahead the entire swim.
I enjoy the aquazize classes Fun and engaging! Also, the fact that I am greeted by name every time I come there. Very welcoming!
Staff and patrons have always been very friendly. I love that it’s a little smaller gym so it doesn’t feel as overwhelming and crowded. And there’s great spaces and amenities to utilize. We love open/family swim and they have daily child watch hours.
The staff here are very nice, but the quality of the facility outweighs it all. This place needs a real upgrade, major updating and some areas could use a real good cleaning. The changing/shower/locker rooms are very smelly, old and dirty, moldy and most lockers have painted over rust inside of them. I love how excited the staff are to support this area of the community with a YMCA, but if you are going to charge people for coming here and classes, someone in charge or cooperate persons should make sure it has a certain level of quality offered and be sanitary. Other suburban YMCA locations make this place look forgotten and like it should be in the HOOD somewhere. Other suburban YMCA locations offer lots for younger kids to do not just one or two PAID programs, they also have sanitary play areas and toys and books. I am not sure when they will upgrade and renovate, but the facility in its condition, does not match the nice supportive staff and the vision of this YMCA they portray.
I like that it’s offered more than once a week at a great price. I love how patient, cheerful, and encouraging my daughter’s instructor is with her students. My daughter absolutely loves going and constantly asks me when does she go back to swimming.
