Higher Ground at Lake Louise is a state-licensed Christian camp on 22 wooded acres along spring-fed Thumb Lake outside Boyne Falls, serving campers of all ages. Programming centers on faith formation, with particular attention to fatherless children and single mothers; its Psalm68five scholarship funds camp for children and youth growing up without a father in the home. The camp accommodates food allergies and dietary needs, and keeps a health officer on site at all times with multiple CPR- and first-aid-certified staff.

I feel safe at this camp and so do my children. They are always continually improving each summer. Fun Arts & Crafts at their creation station, encouraging guest speakers, DELICIOUS FOOD (they even offer guests who have different food sensitivities options as well). The staff are super kind and caring. I believe they have a new director (Jake). I always saw him helping and serving with the other staff (the kitchen, the waterfront, etc.) he would ALWAYS go the extra mile! I noticed that this encouraged the other staff to do the same. Thank you for another fun summer at camp and for continuing to make improvements! We look forward to coming back next summer :)
★ally cakeI was just recently (a day or two ago) told about some happenings in the staffing at Higher Ground Campground and honestly it's unreasonable. An employee was fired just for speaking about free choice and, without explanation, was lied to about the reason that they were let go. Saying that the staff team was full, they completely avoided the subject and expected things to miraculously pan out. I'm honestly ashamed of places like these, excuses for honest christians. Highly do not recommend.
