Powered by GoogleThe Great Southwest Council run by the worst Scout Executive ever! He has destroyed this council and the District Commissioner is rotten to the core! The best thing National can do is merge this council! There is not program for troops or packs!! They are down thousands of scouts and many units have closed!! National needs to step up!
It's a great organization that work to provide a great environment to help support youths and they grow into adulthood I'm very proud of all the volunteers that put in the effort to make this work.
The Cons. I had extremely high hopes to show Gorham Scout Ranch an Amazing Chef with Excellent food that they may have never seen before. Comes out that you will be paid literally a month after being there. After working 16+ hours a day, 7 days a week, no breaks, and sleeping in a tent. I did not receive my last check, had to call and received it a month later. Only to find out I got paid for a half a days work... Calling the New Mexico labor board! The Pros. Ranger Bob is the Man!!
Hardworking bunch putting together great programs for SW kids!
I stopped in to the scout store to pick up a few accessories for my son. The clerk at the scout store could only talk about money. That appears to be all the BSA is interested in anymore - money. They really don't care about your boys but they do care about them bringing in cash with fundraisers. This organization has truly lost it's way in the world.
