Tournament was great, however the building was so cold like make your teeth chatter cold, people who was not playing and this would be a lot of people most the time was wrapped up in coats and stocking hats blankets ect,, looked more like i was at a hockey game not an indoor tennis club, the players where going onto the courts cold and stiff then coming off the court hot to be frozen, the roof dripped water on ( every court ) that would have to be mopped up with rags after each game at times even after each serve was over, this to me seemed very dangerous. when asked about these conditions i heard them say the roof always leaks when their is snow on it and was told the thermostat is set at 71 degrees, NO WAY was it set at 71 OR maybe it was broken ? either way even the staff was wrapped up in coats, the courts lighting was pretty good however the lights were kind of in the field of play, the rest of the building was very dark and gloomy in all i would say this ( Tennis Racket Club ) needs lights, heat, paint,(new roof ) and a good old fashioned cleaning top to bottom. i will add the courts them self where very nice even with the water staining them. this place could be AWESOME with some love put into it.
Tournament was fun and the space is great, but we were all so hot we could hardly stand it. Fans or better a/c would be a great addition.
A big nice tennis facility. 8 indoor courts with a good viewing area above the courts. I have been here twice for the PIAA state tennis playoffs with our high school team. Sadly, we lost both times but making it to Hershey is always the goal. The club could use some tlc. Ceilings could be nicer.
The courts can be a little chilly in the winter and the dripping condensation causes endless consternation, but by golly would I rather play here than any other indoor courts in the area. Plenty of space, water fountains between the courts, good viewing areas, large bathrooms and locker rooms - it's the best. The staff are amazing.
