Headwaters Outdoor School in Weed (near Mount Shasta) teaches wilderness living and primitive/ancestral skills, nature awareness, and earth philosophy on a 32-acre camp bordering the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Its summer-long apprentice program is open to ages 12 through adult, alongside immersive wilderness expeditions and wilderness-medicine courses built around experiential learning and mentorship. Programming skews toward teens and adults rather than young children.
