Powered by GoogleI like this place. It is a bit pricey at $10 for anyone not associated with the UofI (even kids), but the facility is in great condition and kept clean. I took a handful of kids there to play some soccer, and they had a good time. There are two turf areas for sports like soccer, football, ultimate frisbee and such as well as batting cages. Plenty of lockers and a small but sufficient gym with cardio equipment and weights separate the turf areas from the tennis courts. Call ahead and reserve a spot if you are coming with a group. Staff is friendly and helpful.last time I went, though, the desk person was very relaxed reclined in the chair with the feet on the counter. It felt like I bothered him when I checked in.
We stopped in to look. Excellent facilities!!! Staff was super nice!
Nice staff. You do have to pay for parking. I take lessons from Calvin and he is top notch! He is very patient and a good listener. Best instructor in Iowa City as well as any in Cedar Rapids. I am not a member here but have played here for a USTA Match. The event was well organized and we only had USTA players on the courts which always make these meets go more smoothly. They have 8 indoor courts and some outdoor courts as well.
If you're looking for an excellent gym, look no further than the University of Iowa collection of fitness centers throughout Iowa City. The main fitness center downtown is exceptional. The Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation center has a great selection of cardio and strength training options.
Terrible documentation of business hours, but generally nice. Staff sometimes gets bored and like to stare at treadmill and cycle users to intimidate them into leaving early to make their job easier. Can't blame them I guess. They're either high school or college students.
